Default Corals eating plastics article

I saw this article on Advanced Aquarists site:

http://www.advancedaquarist.com/blog...ls-eat-plastic

..and it seems to be stating the obvious that stony corals are ingesting plastic pieces that are the same size as plankton.

What corals eat is a function of particle size and water flow. Dead or alive doesn't matter (thank goodness). This has been studied before. I don't see the point of the article. It doesn't suggest any links to our aquarium hobby or what we can do about it.

(sorry if this has been brought up on canreef before, couldn't find it)
