Default Dosing vs Calcium Reactor

Any thoughts? Or was there already a thread on this topic? If so can someone forward me the link?

I am having a difficult time deciding if I should use my Vertex RX6 Duo Calcium Reactor or buy the Vertex Libra Dosing system?

Any input would be appreciated...

How big is your system and do you plan on a heavy Ca load like lots of SPS?

Will probably be 120-180 with SPS up top and LPS down low.

I use a reactor, it's mostly a set and forget setup. I'm lazy, so it works well

For what it's worth.... here's my experience.
I have a 77 gal mixed reef, I would call it mediumly stocked with a few SPS, LPS and softies. I was dosing 40-50ml/day of BRS's 2 part formula. (I had started with tailored aquatics Ca and dkh but ran out of money for that about 2 months in)
I recently bought a used Vertex RX4 from a fellow member here and I'm scratching my head wondering what the heck I was so scared of and why I didn't do it earlier. After 2 days of running it, it appeared I was dialed in. I've been running it now for almost 2 months and my Ca and dkh levels are rock solid and I've definitely noticed much higher growth levels and colour in all my sps corals.
Now I'm just worried that when I get my 210 up and running it won't be big enough

Oops sorry we've already got one of those threads for this year and one for each of the last two years.

So it's 2010 now. Who still uses a calcium reactor and who's all on 2-part dosing?

Seems like it's basically a preference thing...

Maybe I'll keep the Vertex Reactor and give it a try.
