Default Thinking of upgrading my nano reef to a 150 gallon tank

Was wondering what do most of you do when you upgrade, keep your original tank up and running while the new one cycles or get someone to watch over your livestock while it cycles?

Keep your existing tank online untill your new tank is cycled and ready to go as you will have a bunch of new rock and sand. When I upgrade to my 270g from the 175g all that I'm adding is more sand that I will precycle so for me it will be a bit different move then I'm used to ( same tank different spot 3 times ).

But first buy my 150gal with stand and attached solid steel light hanger, so you have a never used 4 sided and braced with starphire aquarium
