Default New Tank Dimensions?

Ok so I am really growing tired of my 54g corner tank. It is nice enough looking but it is a true pain in the butt to get flow everywhere. The aquascape is ok but the space is limiting hard to make use of your lights. So I am looking at a new tank that will have to fit the current location and use the current stand(its made to fit a corner so it has one angled side). I can do either of the following:

29x28x22/24 this one uses up most of the stand front to back with just 10" down the side unused.

or

39x18x22/24 this one use up all the stand on the front but leave 10" at the back so not sure about balance issues

Which would be best for flow and lighting and aquascaping. Cant wait to hear your opinions. Thanks.

How about a 48x24x20 tall? That's an amazing size. Don't go too small or you will regret it...I am just saying Joe.

My dream size is 72x30x24 but I can't put that in a condo and being as I am gonna live here for at least another few years I would like a better tank to suit my situation. I will see if I have a picture of my stand with no tank on it and the location of the tank.

This is my strangely limiting corner I have for a tank.

This is what my stand looks like from above with current tank footprint.
