Default Aww :(

My female clownfish jumped today and I didn't see her till it was too late. I'm really sad! I've only had them about a year and a half but I've watched them grow up and breed.... the male looks lost! He's looking all over the tank for her

This is her (bottom fish) with the male and eggs

Sorry to hear. My first pairing, I lost the female to carpet surfing too.

I was able to make a new pair by letting the male become female and then getting a new tiny male. Took a while for the pairing and changes to occur but it panned out. Something to keep in mind for down the road maybe..

Thanks, yeah that was what i was thinking I will have to do. Do you know how long it will take for him to turn female? I'm in no rush, I don't have a QT tank set up right now and I want to give it a lot of time.

Some of the black clowns are occellaris, no? I've seen black/orange pairings, is it recommended?

Poor little guy .
Don't know whats worse, loosing one to carpet surfing or having to watch the remaining one spend hours looking for his mate .

Sorry to hear Keri. One of mine died a few years back and I was really bummed; because I have had them for awhile, also couldn’t stand to see the one so lonely and got one within a week and they were fine still have them laying like crazy.
