I like the plywood sump, brings me back to the days way back when I saw a monster custom plywood reef tank with glass front and and port hole view side.

Everything was custom including the skimmer that was almost as tall as me run by a couple big dart pumps. It also had a cat walk going around the whole tank in the fish room that took the weight of 4 large adults.


That's sweet!! I never see plywood tanks tho especially reefs.

Nice looking build! What type of paint did you use on the inside of your plywood sump to cover the fiberglass and epoxy?

It's actually a solvent free epoxy that was white in colour

Well had a few loses since last update. Blue throat jumped, lost 2 pipe fish too , Light cycle was out of whack but that's dealt with FINALLY!

Dealing with a small ammonia spike right now but it's being dealt with.

Well these photos are now old in my last post. Since this we have lost half our Sps and all our octospawn. I've recovered the tank from the crash and it's coming back greatly.
