Default Blue hornet zoa colony issue

Question to the zoa experts. I have a good amount of zoas all living together. Sunny D, Rasta, candy apple, fire and ice, etc etc. I have about 30 blue hornets living in the zoa garden, been there for years. 2 weeks ago every single one in the colony closed out of the blue. None have opened since ant if I touch them this brown smoke puffs out of the closed polyps.

Anyone know what could be going on? I peeled half off the rock and did a peroxide dip but that didn’t help. Thoughts?

Not an expert but I’ve had success with Furan dip. Saved my rasta colony a couple of times whereas an Eagle Eye colony (over 50 polyps and fine for over a year) that I decided to leave alone just all melted away. You can google & read various people’s experience with this.

Not sure why it happens. I try to clean detritus out of colonies with a turkey baster but sometimes I forget for a while. Perhaps the build up leads to fungus of some sort. I notice the Furan dip gets a lot of crap off the polyps. It kinda floats off

I had good luck with Furan as well... Supposed to be for zoa pox. But i had a zoa colony on a large frag disc closed a section for a while and started melting. I checked and did not see anything on the polyps or indication it has zoa pox, id literally lose a polyp or two a day. So decided to soak it on furan after reading about it online. Next day some polyps still closed but noticed the tissue is not shrinking anymore. Did another dip the following day...
Then the polyp started opening again. Saved the frag this way.

Now i try to frag my zoas so if one section decided to melt i still have some left.

In my experience i notice, la lakers, fruit loops, blue hornet can melt sometimes

I have upwards of 25 different colonies of zoas and every once in awhile a colony just closes up for weeks when all the others are fine. Sometimes they magically open back up and return to normal and other times they just melt away. Its a zoa thing. Been trying to figure that one out for years.
