Default any contractors here do minor renovations?

hey all!

was looking to do some minor reno in our kitchen.
basically cut out a "window" in the wall between kitchen and dining to create a large pass through and slap a counter down.

anyone here do this kind of work?
would be looking to do this before xmas!

Unless its really straight forward, where I can get some buddies together to do it, I'd need an actual contractor.

I'd love to take on this project but I'm still doing rehab from back surgery.

Any advice is always appreciated though!

You have to make sure there isn't power/water/drains running through that wall.

Then when you cut it, you'll have to frame the opening.

Then drywall or put panels on the 3 sides and the counter on the bottom

also, if the window wall is load bearing, it would be prudent to support the ceiling perpendicular to the joists
