feeding freshwater ramshorn snails to mantis shrimps

every aquarists know about frantic snail population explosions in their tanks and i'm no exception. lately i've chose to feed all these snails to my mantis shrimps and looks like the shrimps are gorging themselves on these easy to crack open food supply. just wandering if anyone else has done this b/4 and long term consequence if any?

Food is food...the cirle of life...fresh or otherwise...lol
