Default Subtropical Setup

I'm just about to do a 55 gallon tank setup. I notice the minimum temps on many of the fish and inverts show 71/72F. There are also a few fish that fall into the cooler temps like 71 such as Catalina Goby, Ventralis Anthias, etc. Is there some down-side to having a cooler temp like 71? Are there corals that wouldn't work well in this temp range?

I've not had any issues keeping corals in the 72-75F range. I've seen corals dip to 68 at times when heaters have broken and no obvious issues.
