Default Great Newbie Posts! Thank you's

I'd just like to send a Thank you to: Emily B , and BCOrchidGuy!

Both postings were informative, simple, and I believe a great start to our newbie forum.

Hello,

The Newbie Creation forums allows experienced aquarists to post their experiences and articles they write. This mean originally I didn't anticipate to have real newbies to be posting questions there as well, until the actual newbie section of the site is implemented.

Now, should I create a Category for newbies, where there will be one forum for the existing Newbie Creation articles, and another forum for actual newbie to post questions?

Titus

Titus, I don't think you need to do that. New members can ask questions inthe main reef forum without risk of being overlooked. We still have a small volume of posts compared to places like RC, and creating too many forums might distract from the board. JMO

Hello,

I saw a few posts by newbies in the new forum so that's why I asked.

Titus, I think the important thing is to let them feel welcome in the main area. I used to frequent another board and if a new person asked a question that was fairly simple (to us) they were insulted, flamed etc.... This board stands as an example of how people can share information with out calling every second person a dummy or a lame brain.

Perhaps just change the name of the newbie area to, starting out, or learning the ropes.... something along those lines.
