I assume my WP40's are the new version, as I noticed they don't exactly match the enclosed instruction sheet. My controller has 3 constant speed levels (H1, H2, H3) while the instructions only list 2 (H, L). And the W1 pulse control has 3 speed positions as well (S1, S2, S3). So that gives you a few speed options.

I'm running a couple pumps in the bath tub right now. They seem to work well. I do notice, though, the pulse duration knob doesn't seem to give much range for a wave duration cycle.

I also have the Coralife Wavemaker pumps (DC5800) and their pulse cycle is up to 60 seconds. I found that on the short cycle (about 5 seconds) it was too hard on the pumps (ramping up from low power to full blast), and I had wear on the shafts and bushings. But Coralife replaced them (lifetime warranty), and I now run them at the longer cycle, and they seem to be holding up OK for now.

So I hope these WP40s are tough enough to handle a short high powered pulse duration (no power to full every few seconds). They are cheap, though, so not a big loss if they don't last too long.

Default Pumps

I got my WP40 yesterday, but haven't had a chance to play with it yet. It looks awesome though.

Nick - Thanks for putting this all together and getting us such a great deal!

Harry - You're the best. Never mind hand delivery of the pumps for everyone, but my bonus was was the best (Chris was over in 15 minutes when he knew what I had for him). My tank is your tank, come by and take what you want!

Nick, how many do you need? I have 4 WP40s and was planning to deploy them all right away. But I could hold off on 2 of them for a month or so, if you are desperate. LMK.

My two 25's on opposite end of my 90 kicked quite a storm when I put them in yesterday. Way more flow than my Koralia's. Nick, if you get some more 40's before the 24th, I'm going down to Vancouver and can deliver them for anyone that holds off.

Thanks for the offers.. but by the time you guys send it here i should be getting another batch(i have some leaving china right away to arrive late next week) so unless someone that hasn't received shipping info yet wants to hold off and get some fee stuff/store credit. I am going to have to randomly short a couple pumps to someone. Sorry for the situation but i will fix it asap.
