Default Female clowns turn back to male?

I've googled what happens when 2 female clowns, same species or not, are placed together. Some individuals say that a female can revert back to a male, but most say once female no turning back. I don't have a clown fish reference book so I thought I'd check to see what knowledgable canreefers believe.

Clownfish can only go from adolescent to male to female.

Females cannot turn male and males cannot become an adolescent
