Default Farming Acan Corals

Need some advice on farming acans. I learned it will grow faster when it has a flat surface to grow on, however, is it's skeleton encrusting? I have a bare bottom tank, if I let it grow on the glass, it won't be able to take it out and frag it?

What is the best way to let it grow but yet will be easy to take it out to be fragged

thanks!

I find coral skeletons grow thinner when growing directly on top of glass. You just have to get a razor blade underneath it to release it from the bottom but it's hard to get nice polyp sized breaks. The thinnest part is usually through the centre of what you'd normally want to sell.
