Default Lighting on a FOWLR??

Just wondering what peeps who have a FOWLR are using for light and what is the reason behind what you chose for a light?

Hey Grizz, back in 1993, I was running a 220 gallons FOWLR and I had never heard about T5 or Compact Flourescent lights at that time on the tank. I used 2 Actinic and 2 10K, I think it was called Super Glow light, something like that. And I never had any algae issue problem like I am having in my reef tank right now.

Ya I was think the same thing with my 116 gal because it is so deep, I might go with a 6-8 bulb 30" fixture if I can find one.

On my 180 I am running a coral life 3x150w MH. I like the shimmer effect of the MH.

I rarely have all bulbs on though, usually just the center, or the far left/right.

I think I am going to look into a DIY LED in the future.
