Default Help! My wife is killing me

.... said the little black clownfish living in my Biocube.
I dont really understand it, they were doing just fine then the larger one starts picking on the smaller one. They are juviniles and I thought ,OK they are just sorting out who is going to be the pant wearer in the house. I was about to separate them it was getting so bad and then the Male went MIA...that was about 3 days ago. Fish can be so cruel.

I know I have a pair of Darwins in my Nano for 3 years.

Just before they started spawning, the female kicked the male out of the Anemone for about 2 weeks.

Guess they needed a colling off period, or she wasn't happy with his housekeeping of the spawning sight.

Sometimes, for whatever reason, young ones seem to do that. Truth be told, the female after pairing is still pretty bossy. Mine started as tiny babies and now over seven yrs. later she still shoves him around. Plus he is about half the size.

He has to do most of the fanning and attending the eggs. If he attempts to eat before her, she gives him a shove back into their house. Whenever I,m in the tank, she sends him out to take care of the intruder. You can tell by watching him that he knows his place in the order also.
