BRS is going to have a big sale on these two skimmers on Black Friday! I always wondered how these performed. Obviously they aren't powered by red dragon pumps but I heard the Sicce can hold their own. Have you tried any super reef octopus skimmers? If so how would you rate the two? I am considering one of these to replace a SRO 1000int.

Thanks!

Seriously doubt it. The footprint on the 130 is about 8.5" by 11".

Never tried any of the super reef octopus skimmers but personally I love my 150

Never had a single problem with it, extremely good quality as construction goes and the design works amazing

I've run the 150 at water levels from as low as 6" as high as 10" and it has never failed to amaze me

Honestly I can't think of anything bad to say about it other than I don't like the drain hose on the skimmer cup as it sticks out to far and catches the outlet pipe when removing the lid but that was nothing my exacto knife couldn't fix

Thanks for the reply! Thats good to know this skimmer is more tolerance of water heights compared to the SRO.
