Default Sick Yellow Tang

My yellow tang had a bacterial infection. Red blotches. I didn't think it was going to survive but the red blotches have almost completely cleared up after a furan 2 and kanaplex treatment. But now it just swims in, mostly, left hand circles at the bottom of the tank with its belly touching the bottom of the tank. I don't know if it's recovering or if this is a new symptom.

If anyone has any input, it would be much appreciated.

When my YWG had a terrible open sore, I really had little hope for him. I posted on the disease forum of Reef2Reef and they were very helpful. Humblefish gave me a detailed regimen to follow. The only problem is getting your hands on medication as it took a few treatments to cure my fish.
Is be eating?
Good luck!

Might be worth posting to: https://humble.fish/community/index....s-treatment.4/ with the HELP tag.

Unfortunately she didn't make it. I guess I just caught it too late.

Never thought I could get so attached to a fish. I was up until 3am that first night setting up the qt tank and scouring the internet for info and possible rememedies. 2.5 hours of sleep and off to my son's hockey practice. Then running around all over town scrounging for medication.

This was a tough loss. She was a scawny 1.5" when I got her 3 years ago.

Sorry for your loss Gordo
I had a TY I couldn't solve the infection.
Seemed to be a bacterial/fungal thing. Wasn't septicemia and still had the red sores.

Good luck with your next one !!
