Default Solenoid valve (normally open)

Hi all,

Looking for a solenoid valve that is normally open, and closed when energized. However, would also like it to close in the event of a power failure. Does such a device exist?

OR

Do I connect two valves in series

One solenoid valve that is normally open, and closed when energized, which is what I would like to control. A second normally closed, open when energized, connected to the power outlet in series.

Does that make sense?

Default NO NC valves

I doubt that you will find your first choice and if so, I am sure cost would be a big issue. The NO and NC valve should work, but they would be wired in parallel not series.

I dont think you will find a N/O that fails in the closed without spending $$$$ I have a bunch of 120v 1/4" NPT valves here, I special imported for the hobby. I also have 1/4" JG fittings as well.

Valve with fittings, $20 + shipping

I won't be home till the 25th tho to get pictures or ship. PM me
