Default Cool mangrove pod rack

Just at Blue World the other day, and saw the neatest rack made for mangrove seed pods ever.
Ken, pretty cool rack made from pvc elbows and tees!
Got tons of seed pods in, too, if anyone's interested.

I saw that. But what happens when the roots start growing? The roots on my mangroves are deeper in the water than the mangroves sticks out of the water

Sorry Dawn! I really should graduate into higher-tech! Never thought of taking pics. Maybe someone from Blue World could take some pics for you.

Yeah, as for growing the pods, maybe not so good...but great for holding them in the interim, don't you think??

Well yeah, when at the time I just didn't think about it. Maybe we can get someone from Blue World to post it here.

Actually that was just to display them for customers, weren't ment for long term.

Just a simple idea, but might work for people without sumps (which would really need mangroves), or deep water sumps.

After a little thought it would work long term by lust drilling a 3/8" hole on the bottom to allow for the root pod to extend out of. I'll look into making one later today.

I'll get pics up later.

That could totally work longer term. If the density was lowered or you made the pipe larger (like 1.5" as the bottom chunk, and just a small 3/4" part for it to grow up out of), you could push current through there... they would get crazy nutrients in the roots... I bet they'd grow like beasts!
