Default what is this? bad or ok??

So i have this frogspawn and i really like it. It had a piece of kenya tree growing on the bottom of it when i bought it so i just ripped it out. but i have noticed in the last month a bunch of polyps on the base of the rock.. is this a bad thing? im worried, it almost looks like baby aptasia. also there is this white fuzzy stuff that is growing up the branch of the frogspawn.. any help on a id would be really helpfull thanks guys

Those are the little brown things.... They are harmless unless you jam your thumb down on one...they are like little needles.

+1 colonial hydroids. I understand they sting corals if they grow close to them. I have them as well and I find they are hard to get rid of. Butane torch works good for the LR that you can take out of the tank.

They are a bastard to get rid of and multiply like crazy! The only thing that I've found to work for me is Sodium Hydroxide. Totally burns them away: nothing left but bare rock.
