Solenoid valves in Canada

I'm hoping to find a Canadian source for normally open 1/4" SS solenoid valves. The exchange is a killer right now and I don't know enough about these bad boys to make a eBay purchase. Or if anyone has an extra they're no longer needing...?

Those are exactly what I'm after but the 1/4" are around $50 CAD after shipping to my US mailbox...

You can use sprinkler solenoid valves, in my experience they are more reliable (fail closed) and last longer. The valves are cheap at around $20 and available locally, replacement solenoids are also available for them as a bonus. The catch is they are a bit bulky and you have to reduce them from 3/4" to 1/4". You also need a 24VAC transformer, another $15 or so unless you get lucky in a surplus store. Rainbird is the brand I've always used.

bought my off ebay for 15$..is the brass one not ss but i have it for 2 years now and no issues.what i have done with mine i put it on timer and it runs 5 times a day for 2 minutes and then shuts off and have a float valve in the sump as a back-up.

I've been using one of these from Hong Kong for at least 5 years. At $12 CAD I don't find them overly expensive. I was also able to use a 12V DC adaptor from an old modem or something so there were no additional costs.

I have been using this valve and some of its larger siblings for a few years on my system... the only valve from this supplier that I'd stay away from is the push to connect one, as they are really cheap connections and I don't trust them when compared to proper John Guest fittings. So a bit over 20 bucks shipped, and this is the 120v version so all you need to do is add a power cord
