Default Smoothie anyone?

Today we got our new vitamix blender. Here is a picture of it next to our old one:





It is amazing - even the tiny seeds in strawberries get blended up and just disappear.

Ha. Ya maybe if I drill holes in the blade, I can get even smaller bubbles.


Actually on a more serious note (maybe), I actually thought it would be cool to set up a blender nano...
The polycarbonate container of my new one gave me the idea. I would put a small powerhead impellor in place of the blades then put an undergravel type grate over it so nothing got caught in the impellor. Then replace the motor with something a lot smaller - just enough power to gently turn the impellor. After that throw a LR spire and some sexy shrimp then plug it in and turn it on for built in water movement. I don't know if that has been done or not, but it will be... mark my words .

Yeah you need a blendtec total blender dude.. those things will blend just about anything. (see above link)
