Default Sohal Tang

Anyone own a Sohal tang ? Are these fish as aggressive as the Pocket Guide says they are ? Is it possible to have any tankmates in with them ? (Pocket Guide says they attack triggerfish in the wild ). Any info from those with experience with this fish would be appreciated. Tks.

I setup a 800 gallon tank with a med 8" sohal tang and a bunch of triggers, groupers, xxxl clown, and a naso vlamingii tang and they leave each other alone. Tank has been like this for about 3 years. Everyone feeds mostly on mysis shrimp, with some extra treats.

If you have a large tank, you should be okay. They tend to be one of the more aggressive surgeons, second to the Dussumieri, in my experience.

Beautiful fish.

Victor:

Tank is 150g (72l x 24w x 20h) - maybe this is not large enough, depending on size of tang ?
