Default Gotta love cross border shipping

Just sent a parcel to a friend in Atlanta, Georgia and the contents cost me $15 bucks but it is costing me $45 for shipping and handling and US customs there is something inherently wrong with that where it costs more to ship than the actual cost of the stuff being sent

That is ridiculous...I always find Canada Post cheaper then the couriers. I am fortunate enough to be 10 minutes from the US Post office (pending wait times), so I usually just ship from there. If I can not make it down, I always go postal : )

I was told by a delivery guy once that its usually cheaper to sent by air cause you almost never get the duty and brokerage charges you just pay a bit extra for the shipping but that's not gonna work out for everything I'm sure

ups is worst... canada post is best i send a bunch every week by can post and have never gotten a charge(by recipient).

dhl is the best courier but will still charge a fee for crossing borders(usually $10-15 flat fee).
