Default Question of placement of reserve tank in house

Am moving to a condo, and have determined that the best place to prep my water in my reserve tank is actually in the laundry room. Apart from the inherent possiblity of soap making its way into the reserve tank (somehow), is this just simply a bad idea in general? Do you have your reserve tank anywhere near your washer?

Litterally right beside the washing machine. I have often thought about this but since my containers have locking lids I am comfortable with it. Plus I have never seen any ill effects of my water quality or livestock in the past year and half I have been mixing water in the laundry room.

I would just encourage the use of lids and clean hands. Don't start a load of laundry and then stick your hands in your new tank water. Lol.
