Abs is only bad when it is melted or burned. I believe.

A lot of it goes back to internet mythology... Most people believe food safe = fish safe... And since ABS isn't certified for use as drinking water plumbing, it's not useable for tank plumbing. It is inert, it is perfectly acceptable to use in your tank. Just like the whole pvc vs cpvc debates that used to go around in years past...

Thanks for the reassurance. I'm new and broke so I get what I can as cheap as possible while trying to not kill everything. Doing okay so far As long as it stands up it's a great pump though.
