Absolutely, it is no surprise really. But being Calgarian means it is in our nature act completely surprised and to bitch about the weather even tho we completely expect it, each and every single year

I seem to recall from my days of living in the sunny south, that there was always a nice big wet snowstorm in May that took down power lines between Medicine Hat and Calgary. Seemed like an annual event.
Up here we only have 3 seasons. Summer , Winter and something similar to Spring.

Yup, lived in Canmore for over 20 years up until 5 years ago and you could count on it snowing May long weekend.
