Current in the tank. I shocked myself. It wasn't that bad yet (chewing) and I was lucky. I use a GFCI now which would trip if the wires were exposed to water, so safer now.

I think it was my dogface but I never actually caught him in the act. Just found the chewed up cords.

Will be doing some preventative measures ASAP. Did discuss it with the hubby after reading the article. I just wondered if the wiring covers for automotive use would work. You can get any colour you want. I just don't know about poisons leeching into the water column and such to take the risk. I won't be doing the tunzes for awhile yet. The only wire in the display is of course form the powerheads.

Even the fellow that owns one of the LFS mentioned to me that he has had clown triggers chew cords, as well as one or two Picassos.
