Default Replacing a sump

Hello everyone,

Ive got a 75 gallon tank on a wood stand.

Unfortunately the baffles in my sump have crashed.

I can remove the sump without removing the center brace on my stand.
Any ideas how to get around this?

Thanks for you help!

75 gallon on a four foot long? 2x4 studs used along the top of the stand?

Okay. I don't know if you meant if you can or can't remove the centre brace. And I'm assuming it is a vertical center brace. But if you can remove the vertical center brace pull the sp straight out. Then it will be safe to do so for a day or two. If you are ultra paranoid you can reduce the water level in your display tank a couple of inches and drop a heater in it.

worst case scenario if you can't remove the sump because you cannot remove the centre brace. My advice is to efficiently shut down the sump and move the heater into the display tank. Drain the sump and dry it out. And you can replace your baffles and properly silicone them that way while they are under the tank. it's a little bit more cramped but this will work. And if you want to completely replace a sump and you cannot remove the centre brace. then the only idea I have is you can disassemble the sump tank completely while under The stand by cutting away all the silicone and pulling it out piece by piece. But as to how to get the new sump in the stand well good luck. if you don't have a centre brace in the back of the stand then maybe entertain the idea of draining the tank enough to where you can pull the stand away from the wall.
