Default What the heck is this?

So I was peering into my reef using the flashlight on my phone - as you do at 11:30 in the evening, and I saw this thing swimming freely around. No idea what it is, and it looked like it was up to no good, so I fished it out. Looked almost bristle worm isn but I've never seen one freely swimming around. About an inch long stretched out I'd say.
Any ideas what it is and if it's benign or malevolent? (Sorry for crappy iPhone pics)

Thanks in advance,
Rob.

Any way that you can get some clear pics? I think that we could figure it out if we could see some distinct characteristics.

My first thought is a bristle worm but since you went to the UFO school of photography it's pretty hard to say

Yep, photos not great - best I could do with an iphone at 11:30. Without a trip to the water treatment plant I'm not getting any more pictures...

Thanks, never heard of those before..
I looked those up and I think that's definitely what it is/was. I was beginning to worry that it was something that was about to wipe out my fish, corals or both. Paranoia is a terrible thing...
