Default Sick Coral?

About a month ago I bought a Sunflower Coral from a LFS. A few weeks ago I noticed a white encrusting "something" on the coral. In the past few days I have noticed that it seems to be spreading. Ideas? Suggestions?

This first picture is the area that I first noticed it. You can see three areas where it is growing.

This second picture (not as good of an image shows where it appears to be spreading - it is thinner and covering a larger area.

Thanks for whatever help you can give.

Thanks - if it is a sponge, is that good, bad, what should I do?

I have been trying to feed them, but they have been slow to respond. Last night was the best that the tenticles came out - but only about 3/16 of an inch. If you have any suggestions/reccommendation on feeding, that would be great.

Solutions are easy. The real difficulty lies in discovering the problem.

Great information on that thread - thanks!

I'm still concerned about the growth on the coral, and not sure what to do with that.
