Seems to have more polyp extension under mitras but the color is so much better.

Maybe 'cause those poor polyps were starving for 'real' light

I bought my T5s when they were popular, MHs were still in, and LEDs were just coming around
I'll say I'm glad I've stuck with them, even though they cost me a couple frags a year in bulbs ...

But I'm constantly thinking about MHs for my tank due to slower-growing stuff

Your poop is looking awesome Wayner
If I had some extra dough, I'd take a ferry and raid your tank

Don't think it's more polyp extension but more of more light spread evenly over the whole coral. With led I find it more directional so all corals will be bright and colorful from the top down, but from the sides or underneath where the corals are shaded they tend to be more brown. I have noticed the same thing when having just led. And now supplimenting with 4 t5 the colors are more visible from the side where I tend to look at the tank most. Just my 2 cent. Wicked pics and beautiful colors by the way. You must have one of the best collections besides sweet ride and Darryl lol.

Greg, you're the smart one... Look at how much I have wasted on lights....
If you are looking for anything in particular Lmk... I can always bring it over the next time I'm visiting Rich or Peter.

I think you're right about the lights. I've tried as much as I can with thr LEDs but that is as far as it goes. This is my first attempt with t5 and ain't looking back... And thank you for the compilement.... Don't think I'm anywhere close to those guys... Always trying and that is about as close as it gets... The sps I have is 99% East Coast.... I'm sure you recognize quite a few pieces... 😄. Thanks to MJC, Frag Box, Canada Corals and Incredible Aquariums... ☺️
