Default new cuttlefish photos

My guys are 6 months old now and close to the midway point in their short short lives. They have however started to enjoy themselves at least :

I took those with the lights off and it caught me by surprise so they aren't the best.

Another nighttime shot (early morning actually)

A happy couple

If you look close you can see them both looking at the camera

Looks high after catching this shrimp, pupils are huge!

More to come...

They just started showing mating behavior. Given their age it could be a couple of months before they will spawn and should continue to lay eggs up until their lifespan ends around 1 year old.

Very nice! I love their ability to change color it's too bad they have such a short lifespan.

A quick clip of tonight's dinner.
The shrimp are gone before they know it.

Here's a couple of new videos :

The first one is a semi full cuttlefish debating if she should eat again. Finally the lure of a shrimp with pellets inside it that are clearly visible proves too tempting

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cG1UDltH0U0

Second is one being hand fed uncooked grocery store shrimp. There is a closeup of their funnel which they use for jet propulsion which is when they speed away. It's also used to pull the shrimp off the stick (off camera). If you look close you will see another cuttlefish watching in the background and others are almost certainly watching.

Both clips are available in 720p enjoy.
