How much life is in you GFO I almost feel bad changing it

Haha how often do you change it? I only have it in there for 2-4 weeks.

Once a month I have two TLF 150 reactors with GFO this is the first time I've had snails and starfish living in there. It looked worse just after I turned on the sump light.

It looks like it's been in there for 3 months! You could pick them out if you really want. Dump it into a dish and go at 'er.
