I don't have those specific models, but I do have a Canon A85 and I am very impressed with it. If the rest of the Canon line are comparable in quality, they should be good choices.

Picked it up in the US for about $430. Well worth every dollar!

Hi,

Those are fine cameras. Canons are pretty dependable, good picture quality and easy to use. Which one? The A series runs off of AA batteries but its got the plastic feel. SD looks and feels better (if you like the solid aluminum look) but its more expensive. Check out www.dpreview.com for reviews on both cameras. Personally, I would pick the SD400. Its a better camera (more features) and better build quality.

One thing about Canons....its perfectly alright to buy it from the states and get warantty work done in Canada. Their waranty works in both countries. On the other hand, if it was Nikon stuff....doesn't work that way (buy in Canada, get waranty in Canada. Buy US, no waranty in Canada).

\Do you have special needs for your camera?

- Victor.

i have a canon powershot a75, i quite enjoy it. I don't like the "auto" feature, so I mostly use all the settings on manual. my father got one for christmas last year, and after a day or so playing with it, I decided I needed one too.
