Default Too much UV?

I have a large UV Sterilizer for my 150 gallon reef tank that I run 5 hours a day. My question is can I run it longer or even add a second one or could that harm my system.

Adding another unit isn't going to make a difference unless the first one is not enough for your system. Either way it's not going to do any more to your system than it's already doing.

yes you can run it longer, I run mine 24/7. Just make sure the wattage and flowrate are correct for the given aquarium size and make sure the bulb is not old or else its a waste of energy even at 5 hours...
