Default Yellow Coral Banded Shrimp

I'm looking for a coral banded shrimp to help control my bristleworm population. Rather than getting the regular one, I thought I'd get one of the Gold ones. Is anyone selling theirs or know where I could get one this week?

I think those are cool but I've never seen one locally. Have you tried to make a special order for one?

Cheers,

I dunno Sam. I found that a CBS has to get very hungry before he will eat Bristleworms. That doesn't seem to happen in my tanks.

Have you guys had any bad experience with them in your tank with other shrimp? I've got a snapping shrimp and two cleaners but I've always liked the coral banded shrimp, I've just heard they are or can be super nasty.

Yes,

I would like to know as well. I have a ton of Brsitle Worms. My Refugium has them all through the Caulerpa and up and down the sides of the tanks. I have hundreds in my main tank as well with at least 4 over the foot mark. I heard they were not reef safe. The shrimp that is!

My CBS is suspected in the disapperance/death of several small gobies (it has been caught with the remains of fish that were objectively healthy a few hours prior to their untimely demise). It chases anything that comes near and attacks my hand without hesitation. It now lives by itself in one of my refugiums.

Scales, good enough for me, they are cool looking but I like my fish to be active, not food for the inverts.

There are many stories around of banded coral shrimps stalking fish. Some humorous, some not so much.

I've seen the claws narrowing missing a fish...that is not humorous. Maybe humorous because he missed....that time.......I wouldn't put one with fish again, although I have a really nice assorted crab tank.

Two mud crabs, some electric blues, a misc bad with sharp claws, fun

I believe I saw one of those particular CBS just yesterday at the store at 192 and the Langley-Bypass. I can't remember the name of the store. Kevin's Aqautics maybe?
The reason I remember it was because I thought it looked awfully yellowish/gold for a Coral Banded. But it was rather small, so I kinda assumed it wasn't quite mature yet, and was therefore coloured differently. I've only ever seen full sized CBS in a store before now.

So if it helps, this may be that Gold Coral Banded you're looking for because it looks awfully similar to that picture.
lemme know if you check it out , k?
