start of my new 90gallon reef
this is my 90 gallon reef started about a month and a half ago
it was an upgrade from a number of other tanks i had so it cycled very fast although i have a bit of hair alga its not to bad. and this is most likely from the tap water i use. the tank is closed loop... plumbing from above attached to the canopy 2 400 watt metal halide 20k 2 true purcula clowns in S. gigantia oddly when i added the anenome to the tank he bleached out i think he was just really mad i have had him for many years he is starting to colour up again and reture to his former size. Im just feeding him heavy and hes doing well. powder brown tang hes really shy eats like a little pig i keep the alk about 9-10 calcium at 450-500 addition of iodine and strontium weekly about 350 lb of live rock have about 500lb a friend is borrowing:P some and i have 100lb in a smaller tank just sitting the liverock was in tubs for about a year without any lights so coraline growth is not there.. i think i might need to seed it with some from another tank if anyone in victoria wants to save there scrapings. this is my old tank about 2 years ago it broke... and i lost everything i waited a while due to school and whatnot to start up again. hopefully i can get some nice stuff for the tank i have tones of extra power heads... aqua clears.. prizim skimmers and whatnot if anyone needs equipment and wants to trade some small frags cheers and thanks for looking |
