Anyway, when I first started my existing tank, I used a shrimp, left if for a couple weeks, ghost fed the tank, took forever, lol.
I read the last poll about starting with straight ammonia and I remembered I have something out in my shop. So I went out and looked. But it has an additive that apparently makes it taste bitter so kids won't drink it. Anyone have any opinions if I should use it or not?

i wouldn't in my opinion but i have nothing to back it, when i started my 125 i used shrimp and some live rock to kick start the cycle worked like a charm

id hate for your tank to has some random additive that causes problems down the road
