Default Weird Anenome

I have this completely transparent anenmoe the size of an Aiptasia but it looks like those old fiber optic lamps your grandma had with the points of light on the end. Anyone heard of this before? Pest?

Perhaps a corynactis anemone? They are generally harmless and don't proliferate like aiptasia.

No ID is actually possible unless you post a picture.

It'd all speculation at this point.

Good luck.

I wonder... does anyone care enough to read signatures if you make them really small? I would not. I would probably moan and complain, read three words and swear once or twice. But since you made it this far, please rate my builds.

From the description and the fact that I just found one myself last week I am pretty sure it is a Ball tipped nem. They are harmless. Prefer shaded areas

Yup, once I looked at the pictures for ball tip anemones, I knew what it was. Thanks for your help.

I've got one in my tank as well. They often close completely during the day if they're in a bright spot. If you want it to grow you can try feeding it tiny pieces of mysis. There's a bunch of different species of ball tipped anemones, some are quite spectacular.

Yeah that is why I never noticed it before. It's completely hidden during the day.
