Thanks Glen. Definately going with the OE ring. Bad fitment issues with the aftermarket ones.

Still working on my Photobucket account to add photos here

Regardless, thanks to you guys for your tips.
I bought the ring adapter, and also a Hoya UV filter ring. Not for use as a UV filter, just as protection for the stock lens face.

I'll post pics once I get an account sorted out
