I don't buy my tank (nowhere to fill locally anyway) I lease mine from local pop distributors, same bottle used in restaurants and bars, when empty it's a straight exchange and never have to worry about bottle maint. (valve service and hydro test) Just another option for you.

I get mine from the local CocaCola distributor, cost me $100.00 for the deposit on the bottle (get that back if I ever return the bottle) then its $30.00 each time, I just take in the empty and walk out with a full one. I think they are 40lb bottles. Mine lasts about 6 months. I think you can also get 100lb bottles from restaurant supply outfits but they take up a lot more space and are a pain to handle.

I've got a 10lb aluminum cylinder I'm not using and could sell. Its about three years old and is from J&L. Same one new today is $178 from them. You can have this one for $75. It does need a refill.

I use Bev Gas now. Got a 20lb tank for $160 up front and $35 for refills delivered to my door.

Most welding supply shops will rent you 1 for about $30 to $40 per cyclinder.
Just phone around. When it's empty you just exchange it.

Check with the Recharge Centre (near the Blackfoot Inn), they sometimes have a selection of second hand cylinders. They're also good for refills..
