My Beckett runs pretty quiet ... you could run the air intake outside of the room with the tank if you wanted it completely quiet ... the pump to run it on the other hand will vary alot as far as noise depending on what you get.

I cannot hear my Euroreefs run at all. You just make sure the pump isn't next to the glass...

Wel I have the ES8-2 I am very happy with it skims well but I still think that beckett is the way to go If you care about the noise factor

J&L final shipped my skimmer they must have need order it in. Although it seems like its cursed
