Picked up a few new pieces today.
The first one I have no idea...



The second is a yellow eye red chalice. Just curious of placement for it.

first may be hydnophora.

Yes I agree, the 1st pic is hynophora rigida.
In regards to placement in your tank one would need to know more about your system like lighting, flow, etc.

For lighting I have a 36" 2 bulb HO t5. And a 36" marineland reef led. Flow I have is the spray bar plus a hydor koralia evolution power head. Little over 50lbs of rock.

That's an hydnophora (from golds :P). Be careful with those. They pack lethal sting and can kill practically any coral in a matter of secs!

Yup. From golds. Wife saw it and had to have it. Now that I know how lethal it is I'm second guessing it. Oh well. I figure ill stick it high center. Lots of light and about eight inches from anything else. Looks amazing under the blue LEDs.
