Default Vertex Illumina help

Hi
Does anyone know if I am able to swap head unit controller from one Illumina to another without damaging the light?
The reason is that I have 2 Illumina and one unit doesn’t hold time and date memory even though I replaced the back up battery, while the other one works fine. One of the unit is for back up in case of failure but I just want to make sure it’s ok to swap controllers when the time is needed with no issues.
Thanks

The front panels are universal to all models (both size and power). Firmware is stored in the first pad, as long as that thing works, you're fine to swap the front panel. I was the North American repair technician for Vertex for seven years, I've fixed a few of these things

So it works but there’s a module error message that pops up upon initiation
Is this a concern?
