Default LF - Return pump

Hi,

I am just about to install a sump into my system and I am looking for a return pump. I can pay by paypal if you are able to mail one out to me. ( I would pay for shipping)

Pleas let me know if you have one.

Thanks,
Micah

I have not installed it yet ... but ... I do not have a check valve yet ... so I will need one of those as well. The sump will sit beside teh tank not underneath because of the set up. It will be about 3.5 feet and should need need any elbows for the return as i will use a j tube to return teh pipe over the top of the aquarium.

Will you use it strictly as a return or use it to supplement flow?

Don't waste your money on a check valve. No idea why anyone would bother putting one on, they fail all the time because they gum up unless you clean it often. Even then, what the heck is the purpose? Your sump should be designed to hold the back flow of water during a power outage and to prime a pump. I for one absolutely would not rely on a check valve to keep my floors dry or to keep a pump from burning out. That's your baby though, if you want to ...give'r!

There is a Poseidon PS3 that recently came up in the classifieds. That's the pump I'm using on my 90, and it is a really good pump. Dead silent and very reliable. It is an external pump so you have to drill your sump below the water level so that it will prime. Eheim are good internal pumps; the 1260 or 1262 would be good for your size tank. Quiet Ones are also decent pumps, but not as quiet as their name suggests; the 4000 would be a good size for your tank.
