Default LF: Salinity calibration fluid - YYC

Somehow lost my refractometer calibration fluid. I like to calibrate my meter every 6 months or so.

Looking for salinity calibration fluid in Calgary.

Default diy cal fluid

I have 30ml bottles of diy cal fluid made from Randy HolmesFarley recipe and verified at a Calgary lab. $5 or frag for a bottle....
Haven't found any evidence that this fluid is off but when compared to pinpoint fluid it reads a bit high or low meaning the pinpoint stuff is not consistent batch to batch.

Im pretty sure there is a list of refractometers that calibrate fine with RO. Its the cheap ones with no brandname that were found to be reading low when calibrated with RO. I think the redsea one is also not good for RO cal. Randy has a big article on Advancedaquarist.com about calibration standards
