Lookin' awesome Dom. You've been a busy boy

I like the spiral holes in your mixing tubes, and the cabinetry looks wonderful

Looks like your stuffed animals are busy too

I may have missed something but it looks like you have water in your DT ...
Are you cycling the rock ? Could just be my old eyes

Thanks Greg. It's been a bits and pieces project. My wife's getting antsy though about me getting it finished.
There isn't any water in there yet. I think what you're seeing is the reflection of my other tanks across the room.
I just finished a lot of the plumbing in the fish room tonight so I took a video clip of it. I'll hopefully have it up in a few minutes.
Stay tuned

SO here's the clip, excuse the monologue, I thought there should be some explanation of what's going on in my head. Let me know if there's anything I should consider.

Hmmm, can we embed clips here?

Awesome video, with a very informative commentary! Room looks really good! Can't wait to see it all running. Not sure if those florescent lights look that yellow in person, but that would bug the hell out of me, lol!

Hey Warren
Nope the room actually is very stark white. Not yellow at all. I took the clip with my phone so not the best quality for sure. My wife has plans on painting a sea scape floor so that will no doubt change how that all looks when it's done.

What I saw in the pic is the dark tank so it looks like it's full

Wow, that should look pretty cool when it's done, and quite unique!

I am in the middle of building a S/W mixing station myself. I like your helical design, I might just steal that. How do you plan to mount the heater inside the plastic tank?

Thanks man, steal away any idea's I've stolen my share, lol

I actually was thinking of not pre-heating the water. I figured pumping 3 gallons over the course of an hour or so wouldn't have that big an effect on my 300 gal of water volume, so any pre-heating would just be a waste of energy. But i could be wrong...

Thanks! I've been admiring your tank for a while. Once this thing is up and running for a while I'll be calling ya for some samplings
