Default 45G Skimmerless & Sumpless tank

My new tank has been set up for about 6 months now and I thought it was time to share a couple of shots of it. Keep in mind that this tank is still a work in progress. The plastic cup that can be seen right next to the Vortech is where I keep the Banggai Fry. They have been doign really well there and I have not lost any so far.

I almost forget to mention that water changes are done every 2 months and I don't dose anything. There is 7 fish that get feed 2 to 3 times a day a mixture of frozen food, pellets and cyclopeeze.

Tank looks amazing Daniel

Folks, I've seen this one in person ( plus his last one )
Truly amazing how clean it is without a skimmer, and with all his feeding too

It's looking beautiful. What is that traffic cone coloured coral just above the red Acan colony? What sand did you use?

Like it. Want to know more.
What lighting are you using? How much water do you change every two months?

Hey buddy, thanks for stopping by. You have a great set up too. Take some pics and show off your great aquascape and sexy light fixture. How are the frags doing?

You are very welcome to stop by anytime. I would be honored to have you over to check the system out in person and perhaps get some feedback on how to make it look even better.

This one? It's a super awesome bright orange scoly that belongs to Anthony (Seahorsefanatic). He asked me to house it for a while until he makes space for it in his tank. It's a very beautiful piece for sure.

you sir, have one of the best tanks on canreef. When I look at pics of your set up, that makes me want to turn mine into an SPS dominated system.

I was using a 5 bulb Aquactinics fixture but I felt that the light spread was not enough. This fixture is only 9" wide and tank is 24"wide, so I decided to switch to a Current USA Outer Orbit 1x150 14k HQI MH + 4x24w T5s ATI Blue Plus.

I change about 15% of the water every 2 to 3 months and I use tap water. There is no dosing of any type and there is no carbon or any of that stuff either. I have a Tail Spot Blenny, Royal Gramma, Clown fish, 2 Banggai Cardinals, Purple Firefish and Yellow Clown Goby that get fed about 2 to 3 times a day. Let me know if you have any other questions.
